Investigating the Cookie Diet Craze

If you have heard of the cookie diet, then you may or may not know that there are three major competitors on the market today. When comparing the three different diet brands, one can see many similarities. One thing is for certain, all three diets have you eat cookies to lose weight.

The Hollywood cookie diet is one that you can find at your local retailer. You can also order it online. It comes in three flavors: lemon, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. To follow this particular diet, you will eat four cookies and a sensible dinner. You actually replace your breakfast and lunch with one or two cookies. The remaining cookies, of the four you are allotted each day, can be eaten as snacks. Each cookie contains one hundred and fifty calories and is nutritionally balanced with a blend of more than thirteen minerals and vitamins.

Dr. Siegals' cookie diet is one that has been around for decades, since 1975. Until recently, this diet was not available to the general public. However, now it is. You can order this diet directly from the brand's website. This diet has the most flavors of cookies from which to choose: Coconut, blueberry, lemon, oatmeal raisin and chocolate. These cookies are formulated from a secret blend of hunger controlling food proteins, and only Dr. Siegal and his wife know the ingredients. Dr. Siegal owns his own private bakery and mixes up the cookie batter himself. Again, this is a meal replacement diet. You are allotted six cookies per day. You replace breakfast, lunch and accompanying snacks, and then eat a sensible dinner.

Smart for Life cookie diet includes three weight loss programs that can be used in conjunction with the diet. Users can opt for a medical based center diet, a lifestyle based center diet or a home based diet. Again, the diet is based on the daily consumption of six cookies that replace breakfast and lunch and all snacks. A sensible dinner is how the user will round out his or her nutritional needs for the day. There are three flavors of cookies: oatmeal raisin, blueberry and chocolate.

  1. Hi,
Has anyone used or has tried a diet program designed to help you lose weight fast. It’s called The Smart For Life Cookie Diet. Their web sites which speak about diet, weight loss, and the cookie diet are at http://www.smartforlifedietcookie.com or http://www.smartforlife.com, or even http://www.thecookiediet.com, they are all the same. I have tried it and it seems to be a great way to control your appetite. Their medical diet program claims to help you lose 14 lbs. in a very short time. But you have to be examined by a doctor first. So I don't know anyone has been on this long term and its effects.

    Thanks.

  2. the cookie diet is great,I Have my whole family is on it they are all diabetics - were over weight and my father in- law had a whole bunch of bypasses… THe cookies just give you something to eat… be honest, who really stops and eats something healthy every 2 hours — If you don[’t eat every 3 hrs you are putting yourself into type 2 diabetes ( a disease WE do to ourselves!!!) Cookies just stop you from putting yourself in “emergency Mode” so you don’t store fat…
They have puddings, Shakes, Brownies, NO Calorie chocolate dip, caramel, BBQ sauce, maple syrup and Salad Dressing!! & their Maranades are great

  4. Well,

It is an extremely smart and logical way to lose weight. The way it works is like this, everybody knows that it takes a low calorie diet to successfully lose weight. However, a low calorie diet is hard to keep up with due to hunger pains which is something nobody should have to go through. When you eat very little calories you can get hungry again very quickly. Most foods that suppress your hunger are fatty and high in calories so they won't help you lose weight at all.
